Okay, as promised, I'm gonna tell you limiting beliefs from the personal development world that are gonna keep you stuck in scarcity because man, even, so there are even mentors I follow still to this day where I like look at some of their stuff and I'm like, I love you, but I don't agree with that at all. And so I'm gonna tell you some of those things where it's like, I love you, but I don't agree with that at all because I don't think anyone in the personal development industry is necessarily gonna tell you the truth. And I have no stake in the game.
I'm literally just a cute little indie author. Not little, I'm a big deal. I'm a big deal indie author and I'm selling my book, The Queen Rises. Go to thequeenrises.com if you want to check it out. It's a romantic fantasy novel. But I'm here sharing what I'm learning about abundance and wealth building and becoming a super successful author with absolutely no stake in the game. And part of the reason why I wanted to continue sharing this stuff is because I forget my own wisdom.
And I'm a sixth line in human design, which means I actually have all the wisdom I need inside of me. Like it's literally in my DNA, but I forget it. In Gene Keys, have, there's like a shadow side to one of my Gene Keys where it's like the forgetfulness shadow. Yeah, I have the forgetfulness shadow. So I have all this amazing wisdom and I forget it. So actually the whole reason why I do the podcast and the whole reason why I do my Substack Common Success is so I don't forget it because I...
I know everything that is in my cells and my DNA that comes out when I share on these platforms is something I need to hear too. But if I just do it for myself, then I'll forget it a week later and then I won't implement it and I won't grow from it. So you're lucky that I am so forgetful because you just get this wisdom for free. And if you want to buy my book, that's awesome, but it's not about wealth. It's not about money. It's to entertain you and to have fun.
And if you like spicy books where they get down and dirty and it's also kind of funny, then great, that's awesome. But like, I say all of this because when I share my knowledge with you, it's literally just knowledge that I've gained through my own wisdom, through my own experiences to make my book successful, right? And my book has nothing to do with money. So it's very pure. It's very pure, it's very honest, it's very transparent. So let's dive into things that you hear in the personal development industry that just plain are not true.
So first up, I used to say this all the time. Honestly, you do not have to invest in yourself to be worthy of more money. Now, do I regret investing in myself? No, not at all. I mean, I learned a lot, but sometimes I learned that the move is not to invest in yourself. Sometimes I learned that the move is to implement what you already know and to like tune into your own guidance. Right. So like if you hear people say,
You gotta invest in yourself to make more money. That is just a fucking limiting belief. Like it's just a limiting belief. It just is. Now, do I believe in investing in myself when it makes sense, when I'm excited to, when it lights me up, when it's someone I really wanna learn from, when it's something I'm outsourcing and I really want that extra support and help? Yes, 1,000 % because time is money.
And I don't want to waste time picking up Leo and Kingsley's dog poop in my backyard. So we outsource that, right? Like, I am not above investing in myself. I think it's an important thing, but you do not have to, it's not like a, they're not attached to each other, okay? They're not connected. Like investing in yourself doesn't automatically mean that you're going to make more money, okay? Because sometimes the move is keeping your head down and moving your feet, right? Sometimes the move isn't learning more things.
It's tuning into your own wisdom. Sometimes the move is experimenting. Sometimes the move is going back to the basics that you already know and asking yourself, am I actually doing these or am I just looking for that next little hit of like learning something new from a new mentor or a new program, right? So that is a huge limiting belief that you have to invest in yourself to make more money. It is absolutely not true. And, but do I invest in myself sometimes? Yes. Do I still think it's a good thing? Sometimes yes.
But they're not attached, okay? I can make more money right now and I haven't spent on a coach or mentor in two years. And I'm gonna make millions of dollars this year. I just say I am because I've done the identity work. So like, I'm not investing myself. I'm literally not doing it. I don't plan to do it. Probably for years, maybe ever. I don't know, in terms of like mentorship. I don't think I really need a mentor. I think I'm pretty great and I've said this before, my mentor is God. So like,
Try this on for size. Instead of going and investing in another mentor, what if you just invested more time in building your relationship with God? Because God knows where the money comes from anyway, right? Like God's the one that's gonna pay you. The mentor's not gonna pay you. God is gonna pay you. So what if you just like work with God more closely instead of working with a mentor? Now, do I still think mentors are valuable? Yes. Do I still like?
learn things from people, absolutely. But it is a huge limiting belief that you have to invest in yourself to make more money. I don't believe it's true, not at all. I think you can just decide to make more money. I think you can just decide, well, God's gonna spoil me. God wants to spoil me. God wants to give me more money because God loves me. And I'm working hard not to earn more money, but I'm working hard because that's my contribution to the world. And therefore, I get to make more money.
The end. It's that simple, it's that easy. It's not like one leads to the other. Investing in yourself does not automatically mean that you then make more money. You make more money when you are ready to make more money, when you decide that you can make more money, when you believe that you can make more money, when you know that you can make more money, when you know that it's safe for you to make more money, when you know that you're worthy of making more money.
when you know that making more money is not tied to or attached to how much you work, but it just gets to increase because you believe it gets to, like that's when you start making more money. It has nothing to do with what you do or do not invest in yourself, okay? But yeah, outsource the things, hire the mentor that you're really excited about. Like there are times where it makes sense to do that, but they are not requirements, okay? All right, what else?
Okay, so another thing I wanted to talk about that I see a lot in the personal development industry and I used to do this, maybe I still sometimes do this. I kind of think it's bullshit now, but I'm really turned off again by these transactional type relationships. there are people that I follow and I really like a lot of the stuff they talk about, but then they do this thing and I'm like, I don't like that thing. I don't like that thing. I don't feel like that's true abundance. So in my mind, true abundances, I give this away for free.
And of course I ask for you guys to leave reviews and I love it when you do, but like, I'm gonna be okay no matter what, right? Like I'm gonna be okay even if you don't leave me a review. I'm gonna be okay even if you never buy my book. I'm gonna be okay. So like I, and I hear this all the time on some of these personal development podcasts where they're like, it almost feels like they're like trying to guilt you into doing something. They're like trying to guilt you into.
buying their program or whatever and it's like I don't believe I need to do that. I believe that my book is so damn good that you're just gonna want it and I don't even have to convince you like you're gonna seek it out on your own and maybe it's not even you that's gonna seek it out but this is how I think abundance works. I create this podcast mostly for myself because I am forgetful and yes I listen to my own podcast to learn from myself because I have all the wisdom and answers inside of me.
So I create this podcast for myself, but I know it can help so many people. So I release it for free to the humans, okay? So then Abundance is like, wow, Kristen is creating so much value for so many people. Let's flood her book with all of these sales. That's how I think it works, right? Like I don't think, like I don't think you specific person listening to my podcast has to go buy my book. Do I want you to? Yes. Would I love that? Yes.
Do I want you to leave a review? Yes, but like don't need you to, you get it? So it's like a lot of these personal development people, I think they are so like focused and fixated on the people directly in their audience. But I see abundance as so much bigger than that because my abundance comes from God and so does yours. So like if you believe to your core that you were paid by God, that God is your provider, that God wants to spoil you, then it really doesn't matter who listens to your podcast, who buys your book, who follows you on social media, like you're still gonna get paid.
And that's what I believe. I'm still gonna get paid, even if no one who listens to my podcast ever buys my book, which I hope you will. But even if you don't, I'm still gonna get paid, because God is my provider. You get the thing? So it's like the humans listening to you on your podcast or on your social media, they're not your provider. God is your provider. So because I have that mindset, I can be so super detached and I can deliver so much value on this podcast and I don't feel like I need something from you.
And I hate that energy. And there's a mentor that I love so much and she has so much wisdom on wealth consciousness, but she still has this energy of like, she like needs something from you. And she like wants you so desperately to enroll in her program and she uses all the subconscious programming techniques to get you to enroll in the program. And it's like, she could let go of all of that and know that she still gets paid.
And she would, right? Like the specific people don't pay you, God pays you. God works through people. Like God works through the human that buys my book. So I don't need anyone anywhere at any time specifically to buy my book because I know I'm gonna get paid regardless. And I think that's just a really powerful mindset to be in because now when I show up on this podcast, I don't have to be like this, like,
creepy person trying to get you to buy my thing. I don't know, just the energy is so much cleaner. And I feel like sometimes when I listen to this other mentor, I can feel her resentment. I can feel her resentment of the people who consume all her free content, but don't buy her paid content. And I've been that person before. But listen, I love if you get something out of this and you never pay me. I don't really care. I'm going to get paid anyway. You know what I mean? I don't really care.
And I look at it as like, this is my contribution to society. So like, therefore I'm gonna get paid a shit ton, suck ton of money, like, duh. Because if you make others wealthy, even if they don't pay you, like, you're gonna get wealthy anyway. Because like, that's like value that you're creating in the world, right? So do you know what wealth really is? Like, a billionaire is valuable. That's the whole point. That's like how it works, right? So if you're having trouble, like,
making money, keeping money, growing your wealth. It's because you don't see yourself as valuable. That could be one piece of it, but it could also be because you're not actually creating value in the world.
Think of how valuable Amazon as a company is. In terms of all these people's everyday lives, do you know how much I use Amazon? I wanna say every day of my life I come home and there's a new Amazon package or multiple Amazon packages. And it is such a wonderful company. And I know there's gonna be people listening to this and they're like, fuck Amazon. No, like, dude, be honest with yourself. Amazon has made it so convenient. It like adds so much.
value to our lives. And I know it's annoying to hear that because people love to hate on billionaires and I'm not saying Jeff Bezos is a good person, but I'm saying the reason why he's a billionaire is because he has created a company that is highly valuable not only to him but to so many other people. Right? So when you create something that is highly valuable to so many other people, know, hundreds of millions, maybe billions of people, I don't know exactly how big the Amazon customer base is, it's probably in the billions.
Like, of course you're going to be a billionaire because that's how energetics work. So the way I look at this podcast and my sub stack, it's like, it's okay that it's not like really related to my book. I mean, I also do book marketing that are specific to my book. And of course I tell you about my book here and of course I hope you buy my book, but it's like, it's okay even if like the people listening to this never buy my book because I'm going to get paid anyway because
The whole purpose of this is to add value to the world and I know this is adding value to your life. So the more I add value to your life and to other people's lives and to everyone's lives, then the more value comes back to me, AKA money, right? That's how wealth works. The more you give, the more you get. And you don't give to get, like that's the energy of that mentor I'm thinking of and I'm not gonna name her, but like it feels like she's giving.
the free information on her podcast to get customers. And she's really smart and she's richer than me, at least right now. But if she cleared that and if she got into this place of like, like I can give this away freely and like truly freely and I don't have to like manipulate or guilt people or like encourage them in like a kind of like a slightly sleazy way to join my programs.
Like I don't have to do that and I will still get paid. Man, like she would probably make way more money. Like she would make way more money because when you give freely with no expectation, you get more back, right? And so detachment's really important. And I think like that's something I didn't really know or feel or learn in the personal development world because it is kind of like a hierarchy or like a...
Ponzi scheme or a pyramid scheme or whatever where it's like, no, you have to invest in yourself and then your coach invests in their coach and their coach pays more and they pay more and blah, blah, up and up and up and up. it's like, first of all, you don't need to invest in yourself to make more money. You can just make more money because you decide to. Second of all,
You don't have to put so much pressure on your audience or your community to do anything or to buy anything from you because when you are adding value to the world and when you believe that God is your provider, then you know you're gonna get paid anyway. It's like it doesn't matter. There's a person who follows me and I know that they secretly hate me. They secretly hate me.
And I used to block those people, I've kind of detached from it quite a bit, so it doesn't bother me anymore. But she secretly hates me, but she like follows.
And I'm like, that's fine. She can get value out of this, because whatever value she gets out of it, that'll get paid back to me through someone else. So it's totally okay with me if she never pays me, because... And it's also okay if she hates me and she hates follows me and hates learns from me, because I'm gonna get paid anyway, right? Because God spoils me. And I don't believe that people can take advantage of me anymore. I used to for sure believe that. But when I worked on my abandonment wound,
I've stopped believing that anyone or anything could take advantage of me because I don't believe money can abandon me. So like if someone takes advantage of me, then money finds me another way. Right? And like I don't want people to take advantage of me obviously. Like I want to have good relationships and you know, I want to be discerning and everything. But like if it unfortunately were to happen, I know I would be okay and I would get paid like any money I lose, I know I'm going to get paid some other way.
because I truly have embodied abundance and I believe in it and I know it and I trust it and I trust that God is my provider and I don't worry about the humans. Like the humans, can be weird, they can hate follow me, they can hate learn from me and I'm still gonna laugh all the way to the bank because I know that I'm delivering value and even if you don't like me but you are getting value from what I'm sharing, then all of that value is like energetic.
energetic credit, is that what I want to say? Yeah, it's like energetic credit that like comes back to me. So even if it doesn't come back through the medium of you or some specific person who hate follows me, I'm still gonna get that energetic credit back some other way. So yeah, if you have people in the personal development space where you're following and they make it seem like, well, you should use these tactics to like really encourage your audience to join your program.
Just believe they're going to join anyway. Just believe the right people are going to join anyway and it doesn't matter if it's this specific person or that specific person or if this person pays you or that person doesn't pay you or if this person watches all of your videos and listens to all your podcast episodes but never buys anything. Release that resentment. Release that resentment on specific people so that you can open up your heart to even more receiving.
And the way you do this is you trust, you trust that God is your provider and that people are not your provider, right? If you trust that God is your provider and people are not your provider, well then God can work through any dang human on planet Earth to make sure you get paid, right? Like how abundant is that? God can work through any human on planet Earth to make sure you get paid to provide for you. So that is a great affirmation for you. God is my provider.
And it really, it helps you detach. And when you're detached, then when you like give value to people, there's not this like weird kind of like resentful energy of like, but buy my thing, but buy my thing, but buy my thing. Like whatever, like you don't have to buy my thing. Someone else is gonna buy my thing. So anyway, that was kind of a rant. Do I have anything else for the personal development space? yeah, you don't have to ascend to make money.
You don't have to reach spiritual perfection to make more money. In fact, that is just a huge scam and a huge distraction. Just accept Jesus as your savior if you feel like that's a line for you and like all that bullshit will fade away and believe that God is your provider and all that bullshit will fade away. You literally do not have to heal yourself. You don't have to change yourself. If anything, you have to believe that who you already are is good enough and that's it.
Accept yourself, that's it. Stop trying to heal, stop trying to fix, stop trying to change. Change your limiting beliefs, that's the only caveat to this. Like work on your limiting beliefs. Replenish your mind is how they say it in the Bible. Replenish your mind, change your mind. If you have unhelpful thoughts, work on them. But there's nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you. And I think some people just really need to hear that. There's nothing wrong with you, you can be wealthy too. There is nothing wrong with you.
You can be wealthy too. You are me, I am you, we can all be wealthy. Right? Look at billionaires, find a billionaire you like, start looking at them and saying to yourself, I am her, she is me, we are the same. We are the same. We are the same. We are the same, we have the same capacity to make money, we are just as valuable as each other. We are the same, we are the same, we are the same, we are the same. And then when you really believe that, man.
Watch out, watch out, watch out. You're gonna experience some major exponential growth. And I'm in the process of it right now. I'm really excited. There will be a time where I share like actual results to celebrate, but I have to wait until it feels fully aligned. And right now it doesn't. I'm really, really happy with where I am, but.
I have worked so hard on my proving pattern, which is like this pattern of like, have to prove that I'm good enough, right? No, I just have to know I'm good enough. So part of me, like part of the reason if you've been like waiting, like how many books has she sold? Part of the reason why I'm not sharing it is not because I'm not proud of where I am and it's not because I think like I should be further ahead or anything. I'm really happy with where I am and I know more is coming. But the reason why I'm not sharing it is because I don't have to prove anything to you.
You know what I mean? And I'm really working on holding that energy of like, I don't have to prove anything to anyone. And so I have to wait until I'm fully aligned with sharing those figures, and then I'll do it, and I'll do it with joy and celebration and gratitude, right? So, yeah,
That's something I would also encourage you to look at is like, where am I trying to prove that I'm good enough? Where am I trying to prove that I'm worthy? Where am I trying to prove that I deserve more money? Like that is a scarcity pattern, right? Because if you're proving, then it's because deep down you believe you're not enough. Right? So that's why I can't share my book sales right now because I'm like, if I do that right now,
it will be because I need the validation and I don't need the validation. So I need to like hold back and force myself to be patient and to wait until it feels totally aligned and then I will share them, right? Because I want to share them when I feel like I fully have nothing to prove. And if I share them now, I will feel like, I got to prove, I got to prove, I got to prove. I don't have to prove. I don't have to prove anything to anyone. You don't have to prove anything to anyone either, right? So yeah, if you feel like you have to prove yourself.
then work on that and ask yourself what would happen if I were just worthy now? What if there was nothing wrong with me? What if I'm just worthy now? What if I'm just wealthy now? What if I just get, what if I'm the same as that billionaire that I've decided I like now? What if I'm the same as billionaire Bridget, as Sally rich girl? What if we're the same? Right? Like what if you're the same as a rich person?
What if you're the same? Because if you are the same, then you have the same identity, right? If you are the same, then you have the same identity. Guess what? You're going to get rich so fast. So fast, so fast, so fast, so fast. So yeah. Let's just kind of like recap some affirmations for you because I love affirmations. They change my life literally every time. Every time I'm like, I'm going believe. I'm like, no, I just need an affirmation. Do the affirmation changes my life and changes my reality too. OK, so God is my provider.
That's a great one. God is my provider. God wants to spoil me. God wants to give me everything I want. Everything God wants for me is also what I want for me. Right? That's a big one because, you know, I was raised on like the Catholic God and it always felt like God wanted... it always felt like God was mad at me. And Catholicism, it always felt like God was like pissed off at me and like didn't think I was good enough. So I think that's why I hated Catholicism.
If you're Catholic, I'm sorry, but that was just my experience. You could have a totally different experience with it. So for me, I had to like reprogram my brain around God and I had to believe, okay, no, God wants for me what I want for myself. And honestly, that has proven to be true because my whole life I wanted to be an author and when I broke down and I was like, okay, God, I'm tired of figuring out my career. Will you please just, you know, tell me what you want me to do? Show me. Like I want to make a fuck ton of money, but just...
Everything I do doesn't feel right and I don't feel fulfilled So like just show me what you want me to do and I will do it like I don't even care like if you want me to go like build homes in the Serengeti I will fucking go build homes in the Serengeti. I just want to make a fuck ton of money, right? Thankfully God didn't want me to build homes in the Serengeti So really all he wanted me to do is write books. So I'm writing books now. So God wants for you what you want for yourself That's a great affirmation. God is my provider
God loves to spoil me. God would never let me live in such squalor as a million dollar home. He wants me to live in a multi-million dollar home. That one might be out of reach for some of you, but maybe you play with a smaller number. Maybe it's like God would never want me to live in such squalor as this $200,000 home. He wants me to live in my $800,000 dream home, right? Like play with the numbers, switch them up until they feel good, right? Or until they feel expansive.
What other affirmations? I can make more money just by deciding I'm ready for it, just by deciding I'm worthy of it, just by knowing that God wants to spoil me more with more money. And I'm good enough. I have always been good enough. I always will be good enough. I have nothing to prove. I am safe. I am loved. I am cherished. I am protected.
and I get to be rich now. And I'm the same as billionaire Bridget. We are the same. All right, this is kind of an unhinged episode, but I know some of you are gonna love it. So I'm gonna post it. Anyway, I love you. I'll talk to you soon. Bye.
